Nahh. The teacher getting more pay was the gagger. The teachers unions are pretty simple.

I can get the idea that DeSantis didn’t “do” these things, himself, but allowed people to make their own lives better while Cuomo was killing old folks and locking down the state.

In the Declaration of Independence, there is no “he let me.” So I kinda see your point.

But this is not the right time for Governor DeSantis to run an ad announcing Florida's secession.

Net: this is a great ad. The Governor will devastate democrats whenever they raise their ugly heads for two reasons.

Governor DeSantis is smart and democrats are not - that is why they are democrats.

And when democrats work with the media to promote a scheme, the scheme always falls spectacularly apart when Republicans get up enough gumption to challenge it.

Governor DeSantis is one who challenges their schemes and when they get too cute, he uses his authority, appropriately, to remove them from office.
