After averting blackouts Monday night, the managers of California’s electricity grid had to navigate a day when energy consumption in the state is expected to blow past the all-time record. SMUD issued a separate warning to the Sacramento region that blackouts could hit the area for the first time in 20 years.
“We’re heading into the worst part of this heat wave,” Gov. Gavin Newsom said in a video posted Tuesday morning. “The risk of outages is real and it’s immediate.”

You will have no electricity and like it.
They’ve voted RAT for so long, the communist state has regressed society to 3rd world living conditions (except for the elites).
the good news
EV fires put off a lot of heat
People just need to plug their stuff into these. I mean...isn't that where electricity comes from? (snark)
Let’s have another recall so that Newsom can garner another 62+% of the vote.
Nope...no small gas-powered generators.
They outlawed those last year...LOL
You thought I was joking when I warned libtards want you living like cave people
Nonsense. They told us that if you like your electricity you can keep your electricity.
It’s a no-win situation - if you and enough fellow citizens comply, then whew, blackout avoided. and your reward is more crappy green energy policies. If you don’t comply, then it’s blackouts for you. (And still more crappy green energy policies - but they might ease off just a bit)
Musk claims they’ve all been converted to solar.
True? I dunno
.......concerning the 51,400 odd megawatt “peak”, which according to California’s marxist politicians and marxist media is an all time high, no worries, your state has become so awful to live in that everybody’s moving out so, lol, your electricity requirements are about to go wat down...........permanently.
You get what you vote for.
Like Obama used to say, elections have consequences.
Voters’ decisions have consequences.
But, if Californians are patient enough, they’ll be able to do without fossil-fuels and get by with just renewal energy, some 50 years in the future.
Sounds like a great bootlegging opportunity!
Someone should figure out how to power vehicles where the vehicles carry around a energy dense liquid and burn that liquid for power.
Maybe whale oil would work ?
dont care much at all. CA get’s what it votes for.
That was great stuff, made the best transmission fluid ever, and was damn difficult to replace when outlawed.
The mind of a liberal is a thing to behold—or not.
