Yes. Sadly. He is not stupid so why is he doing this? My guess is, he thinks the midterms are already a lost cause, that the rats have enough of them rigged to retain control, so there is nothing to lose. We’ll see.

My guess is that the FBI raid pushed him over the edge. That would be understandable. But as others have noted, Trump had given the nightly news an excuse not to cover inflation, the rise in crime, etc. Instead they can talk about the latest nonsense from Trump.
And yeah, I get that Trump is upset. The election was stolen from him, and then his house was raided. But he’s not being helpful here, at all.
