30 years of “deferred maintenance” and suddenly it’s eveyrbody else’s problem, too?
Cut all the rest of the city services and pour money and manpower into the water system until it’s fixed. Maybe confiscate the property and money previous mayors and city councilors.

Mayor Ludumba just said in an interview that it would take about 200 million$ to tune up he water system. He could get that by trimming the bonuses of all his couch potatoes. But the scam is deep: how to arrange all the kickbacks to the DNC from all the contractors it would take. And that’s not huge money-—spread over a few years and it’s a bit over 1,000$ per dweller.

But this is one of my long time pet peeves. Getting public officials to maintain their stuff is like pulling teeth-—thru the a-hole. Remember Detroit, Flint, and dozens more? Sometimes one has to slug a desk to get the attention of dimokrat, union voting buttsliders. And Jackson was just in the eye of that big Midwest rainstorm-—shouldn’t be any fire danger for a few weeks.
