You just know that the leftists are ramping up to inciting a 'frenzy' in the electorate regarding abortion. Little 'news' blips are starting to air such as: a poll taken shows...blah blah blah.
The killing centers here in Missouri are gone. Now, suddenly, Missouri "voters" (in a recent poll) say they believe 'access' to abortion should be available. Nevermind that we've really been at the forefront of getting rid of the abomination for years now and had just one facility left, but now suddenly, Missourians (leftists no doubt) are expressing that they want access to abortion.
These people are absolutely rabid regarding abortion and all things depraved. Even though Missouri has been majority repubics for a few years now, nothing is certain going into midterms.
Here's an unpleasant truth. Total abortion bans aren't nearly as popular with Republican voters as the pro-life base would like us to believe.
Restrictions? Certainly. Total bans? Nope. Kansas was a perfect demonstration of this reality.
Roe v. Wade was a very useful foil for Republicans as it allowed Republican politicians to pass extreme anti-abortion measures that they knew would never stand up to Roe. It also allowed more moderate Republican and swing voters to support GOP candidates even if they didn't agree with them on abortion because they also understood the proposed laws would lose to Roe.
Now Roe is history, as it rightly should be, but with this victory comes a changing dynamic with regards to the abortion issue and in many places, GOP candidates who thought they could continue supporting the same right-to-life laws they supported before Dobbs will find themselves in danger of losing elections.
