The real reason the FBI doesn’t want to record interviews is Title 18 of the United States Code, section 1001, the so-called federal false statements law. Without recordings, the sole arbiter of what an interviewee says, is the FBI and its form 302. The threat of a charge if the interviewee is called to testify before a grand jury, or at trial, ensures testimony that is favorable to the prosecution. As noted by Harvey Silverglate:

Since the start of this millennium, every single crisis and tragedy (9/11, Sub-Prime mortgage crisis, Sandy Hook, COVID-19, Ukraine, Uvalde ) has been cover for exponential power grabs by the Federal Government.
And there is the use of completely fictitious problems such as "Climate Change" used when real disasters can't be used to justify what they want (banning of free movement, personal transportation, personal property, eating meat, free market capitalism ).
But now enough of us ousters realize what they are doing, and we are a enough of a threat to them that they are openly targeting us as "threats to democracy".

Tucker just completed another sharp-edged piece on calling out the FBI... that’s two nights in a row. Says that today his team called Tony Bobulinski... asked the question of whether the FBI ever called him (after the Tucker interview year) and Bobulinski says that he never heard a word from them. What I find so stunning about this is that one would think that FIB might have contacted Bobulinki just to keep up the appearance of being honest in tracking down what they were claiming was Russian disinformation. As Tucker said, this and the entire Hunter Bye-Done laptop affair where FIB threatened the computer repair shop owner have indisputably confirmed that they are nothing but an arm of the Dem-Rat party and as such, America is now the definition of a police state.
