A great conservative film that underscored the ruin of communism.
From the book the German grunts supposedly chanted on marches;
“Give them all the same food
And all the same pay
And the war would be over
And done in a day”
Probably pretty accurate
My dad (b.1909) had the book AND the book “Wings”, which also became a movie. I read them both when I was about 7-8.
Dad’s stepdad was in WWI, so I was frequently asking questions of them regarding words/terms/etc. about what I was reading.
Learned a lot from those two books at a young age.
