His picks are more extreme than other candidates. They may also be a liability
America’s mid-term elections will be decided in part by Donald Trump. It is unusual for a former president to play such a large role in future elections. Mr Trump has endorsed candidates who are loyal to him and shunned the rest. Of the ten House Republicans who voted to impeach him for inciting the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th 2021, four failed to win renomination. The latest was Liz Cheney, of Wyoming, vice-chair of the committee investigating the former president’s role in the attack. Four others chose to retire, leaving just two who may return to Congress next January. Across the country, Mr Trump’s picks have won four in every five races for open seats (see chart). But does that make them more likely to win against their Democratic opponents in November?

A Republican wave will sweep a lot of these candidates into office.
And there is little they can do about it. The people are tired of EVERY Republican candidate being called extreme, crazy, etc. while EVERY Democrat is treated as the second coming of Franklin Roosevelt.
In November, we may see a sweep up and down the ballot.
Mr Trump has endorsed candidates who are loyal to him and shunned the rest.

Not even remotely true.
Trump has endorsed plenty of Bush League Republicans who assisted the Democrats in thwarting his first term.
We are just getting warmed up!
True, just not the ones who openly put knives in his back during the impeachment. Only the ones who did their backstabbing more subtly.
Like who?
I posted these elsewhere-—Florida MAGA showed up yesterday.
Here are some important numbers from the Florida Primary.
TOTAL VOTES CAST = 3.7 MILLION
DEMOCRAT VOTES CAST = 1.5 MILLION
REPUBLICAN VOTES CAST = 2.2 MILLION
It appears there is not much enthusiasm among the FLORIDA DEMOCRAT voters!!!!!
Grahamnesty, McConnell, Tillis, Cornyn, Rubio, Hoeven, etc.
We will lose the senate thanks to trump and Pa will have a democratic governor thanks to trump
Getting rid of those assistant Democrats in the Republican party.
they say that like it’s a bad thing.
It appears there is not much enthusiasm among the FLORIDA DEMOCRAT voters
was there any rat on rat contests? might not of been much of a reason for them to go vote.
“His picks are more extreme than other candidates. They may also be a liability America’s mid-term elections”
Isn’t it great how these leftist a-holes infest “Business”.
publications and web sites.
If we don’t get trumps picks elected we’ll be stuck with another bunch of shitty RINOs so why not at least try?
It appears there is not much enthusiasm among the FLORIDA DEMOCRAT voters
Yes there was. The Crist/Fried race to be the DEM candidate for Governor. Also the Senator race to run against Rubio.
Plus, all of the state and federal races for the DEM to run against a GOP opponent.
Then you are correct.. they either didn’t care who won, or didn’t care at all.
“””Then you are correct.. they either didn’t care who won, or didn’t care at all.”””
I am pleased my explanation answered your question.
Let me add the DeSantis and Rubio ran unopposed in the FL Primary so there was no big name at the top of the ticket to attract GOP voters.
MAGA voters turned out bigly to vote for conservative candidates in the local and state offices.
We need to see this level of enthusiasm in the other 49 states in November.
Trump needs to go to New York and endorse Lee Zeldin.
Zeldin was all MAGA last I checked.
Romney did.
Trump endorsed Mitt in 2018.
“Trump has endorsed plenty of Bush League Republicans who assisted the Democrats in thwarting his first term.”
This isn’t his first term. He’s been endorsing mostly strong MAGA candidates, with few exceptions, and doing a wonderful job of getting them nominated in the primaries. Trump’s out for revenge now, and wants as many allies as possible elected to Congress so that they can start to mop up the Swamp and lay the groundwork for his return as Prez in 2024.
