How do you know how many sales you'll make in a year before the year is over? I know there are projections and averages, but how do you say "for every 100 cars sold, 68 of them have to be electric."? A guy driving a pickup truck for work can't use a Tesla.
Do the car dealerships stop selling new cars at a certain point every month and say "sorry folks, gotta sell six more EVs before we can allow you to buy that F150." ?
Obviously there's a hole for used vehicles, and maybe there's a commerce clause loophole for vehicles brought into the state (but I doubt it), but this is just madness.
I'm sure nobody thought about apartment complexes or on street parking, or the fact that most of the Bay area is a constant open crime wave of vehicle break ins. How do you charge a car overnight on a city street like that. Absolute lunacy.
California was such a beautiful state once.
I get the idea of not selling ICE cars at all.
You are already lost, and have lost the argument. If you can’t sell what you have, and can’t buy another. Your freedom is gone, you have become a servant of another. Not just a servant, but one that will never be free again. So much for living 15 miles from a store, move into that city that is miles wide, and a few hundred feet thick.
THIS is the future.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kz5vEqdaSc
