I don't understand the difference. Like most all fwd cars the exhaust goes down the center tunnel where the driveshaft would be on a rwd car?

If that pic is a Prius notice how clear the exhaust is from obstructions.
A cordless saw only takes moments to cut the pipe.
Other cars have varied heat shields and supports in the way.
Look under a Mercedes, they are almost impossible to get too!
