I’ll also add we’re in a recession people can’t afford food, gas went down a little, but food did not. Groceries up the most since 1979.

Food will stay high well into next year. When a farmer decides not to plant because he sees the costs will exceed his returns, the fields don’t magically fill with growing crops when gas prices go back down.

We are screwed until next year’s harvest, at minimum.
