They should play an endless loop of classical music over the PA system. That should get rid of most rowdy teens.
Slow classical music at that. “Moonlight Sonata” all day long!
Six Flags near LOS ANGELES became exactly that.
Refused to go there for ANY reason when I lived in So Cal.
hmmm. there’s one common trait amongst all these teens...
SO DO Democrats
The mob knew/knows how to treat their customers and keep order.
The mob didn't need to cheat anyone. The legal odds are against you when you enter the facility.
The mob had quality yet inexpensive meals 24/7. Fantastic buffets, $0.99 full breakfast 24/7. Free drinks while playing, including nickel slots when it was only a nickel not multiple nickels.
All of that was to keep you there to enjoy legal gambling.
Riff-raff was not allowed in or near those places.
If they were "skimming", so what? It didn't cost you anything.
Oh yea the entertainment was the best. Even the lounge acts were class acts.
“Well, the important thing is Six Flags got rid of that bad Confederate flag.”
This is what I remember. Figured at the time it was the beginning of the end.
That’s the one but I wouldn’t say it’s in the countryside. Not far from Richmond and about an hour and a half from the DC area. Metro doesn’t go there so there’s that going for it…
Silverwood Theme Park in north Idaho still just fine!!!
“CHEAP”?!?
Oh, I forgot, he is a CEO, so he wipes his butt with $100 bills!
Up until COVID it was over $70 (including tax) to visit the park for one day AND with the crowds, unless you were willing to run from ride to ride, the wait allowed for MAYBE five roller coaster rides in your entire visit!
On a PER RIDE basis, it was almost cheaper to got a mobile carnival!!
So many of these parks have become overrun with gangs of thugs, many folks stay away. The owners know what the problem is, but they dare not say a word.
There are other issues not referenced in the article. The rise of gas prices nationwide has certainly contributed to lack of attendance and people not renewing their season passes. In some cases, people travel from hours away and gas prices alone have made trips to the theme parks cost-prohibitive. Also, the food experience at Six Flags has always been miserable - extremely high prices (50%-100% more than food elsewhere), low quality food, and extremely long lines. It becomes a family decision - do we keep paying exorbitant prices just to ride a few rides?
There was a very ‘off’ creepy feeling about the whole park.
The place felt of evil.
I said I took the family left after an hour
A bunch of Latino gang bangers there as well
I know some people who live in the Washington DC area. They do not go to Six Flags America, because they say it draws a pretty rough crowd.

Correct. The Six Flags outside of DC is a skank magnet. We drive to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. Much better crowd.
I drove past a small Six Flags Park in upstate NY the other day. There didn’t seem to be any guests to speak of. It closed by 7pm
We sometimes go to Orlando for vacation. October is the best time: the weather is warm but not oppressively hot, the young people are back in school, and the snowbirds haven't come down yet.
It's been at least a dozen years since I was at Six Flags in Gurnee, IL and my two sons were in their early teens. I'm just gonna go ahead and say it, let the chips fall where they may:
I think we were the only white people there.
I wonder if changing the name to Six Fags had anything to do with it?
I'd really like to see the details regarding that claim.
