He should carry around a Gator Ade bottle on his belt.

And pee in it, as a demonstration on how to save and recycle water.

Oh, what was that opening scene in Waterworld, with Kevin and his ‘purifier’?

“Newsom pushes desalination, rain capture, cutting red tape, as California dries out”

This is a tale of Johnny-come-very-very-late the water party.

Any California state leader today that has not in prior years made greater dasalinazation, greater rain capture & storage, and cuttinf red tape among the state’s top priorities deserves zero public support today.

How can they possibly be letting water out of Shasta?

/\

Easy,

as fast as the rivers feed the water into shasta

they let it out as fast.

They could go faster,

but it would flood redding and anderson

and that certainly would blow the narrative and agenda out of the water .

Don’t get me started on the Sierra Club!

It infuriates me that they look the other way while our precious desert areas are being trampled and despoiled by illegals along the border - some of the most fragile land in the U.S.

They received a 100 million donation with the stipulation that they NOT talk about immigration, illegal or otherwise.

Don’t laugh.

On my local news this morning this is being brought up in Sacramento.

Same with the Sierra Club not complaining about the despoliation of tens of thousands of square miles with wind turbines and solar panels. Not a peep out of them about that.

“cutting red tape”
“renewed sense of urgency”

Those are absolutely laughable. Leftists know absolutely NOTHING about building things. Their university educations are all about “environmental studies” that teach them how to OPPOSE construction of anything, to find reasons for that opposition, to learn how to slow down projects and get them cancelled.

Asking them to now cut through the very bureaucratic red tape they created and to now counter the anti-construction mindset that permeates their very beings is going to be impossible.

There is NO “can-do” attitude on the left. The only can-do they have is “we can kill that pipeline project” or “kill that highway project.”

There is absolutely NO WAY they can streamline the complex processes they built or get urgent about building things. This screams FAIL.

Desalination plants are only a good idea IF you build several nuclear power plants. Otherwise, it is a non-starter.

Allowing leftists to administer any program is like handing a monkey a loaded gun. It will immediately morph into a massive boondoggle and a financial bottomless pit.

Bullet train, anyone?

I heard on the VDH podcast the other day that completion estimates for CA “High Speed Rail” are now up to THREE HUNDRED BILLION! That’s the only place I’ve heard that. Don’t know if it is true.
