Well 25 years is a long time to serve as a law clerk for a judge. Normally, that job is for law students or recent law school graduates. They take that job before getting a more lucrative job in private practice. That stated, she is correct. Ordinary people routinely get screwed over in the legal system, especially those accused of a crime, which can be just about anything today. When prosecutors go after someone with financial means who is socially prominent, things get interesting.
