The "death threats" posted on social media are a joke. In most cases, it's some drunk loser posting in his underwear at 2AM.

Not saying that's right. Go ahead and track the guy down using his IP address, haul him into court and teach him a lesson. But a "credible" death threat it is not.

As you say, you would have to be profoundly stupid to threaten FBI agents in a serious way.

I agree...I would say to the FBI “Prove it...we don’t believe you!”

I don’t know how long we can keep the hotter heads from breaking loose...FBI provocations or spoantaneous expressions of outrage otherwise!
