Of course, the Constitution and the laws only matter so long as everyone agrees that we're following both of them in the correct order of precedence.
Had Hillary campaigned in Michigan in 2016, we'd already be past that point. The DoJ, FBI, good portion of the federal workforce, 48-50 current US senators depending on the day, the entire potential jury pool in DC and half of the judges in this country are happy with abandoning anything that would stop them from gaining and holding on to power, and a few supreme court justices being appointed is all the difference.
Maybe the tide will turn against them in November, but that side of America has made it very clear about the lengths it would go to when it has the chance.
It is well established legal doctrine that lawmakers—Congress—cannot add or modify requirements for becoming POTUS beyond the clear letter qualifications listed directly in the Constitution.

This is a nuisance effort, hoping to tie up Trump in legal wranglings before he gets nominated. That’s the entire basis of the banana republic raid. Basically, a hail mary attempt.

Elias does this, and always loses. But he has a big fan base in the DOJ, especially Weissman’s people. He had no shortage of willing traitors in DOJ willing to carry the ball on it.
DOJ and FIB need to be defunded and disbanded.
