The statement should read: “What every Republican President since Nixon has been falsely accused of, Democrats done shamelessly, and the Biden regime has put on steroids.”
Yup, he didn’t need to throw Nixon under the bus. Is this supposed to make him sound fair and balanced? Focus on the true country destroyers that are in our midst now. Yes, we have assistant Dems on our side, but the biggies are on the left. They just never have to face the consequences.

I think we just sped past hearings and into lynchings Teddy.
I now believe that the effort to get Nixon (spearheaded by the Washington Post and the New York Times) was the work of the deep state trying to get rid of a President they saw as a threat to their power structure.
When they started in on Trump, I became convinced they were trying to Nixon him, and that is still what I believe. But they are trying a lot harder with Trump than they ever did with Nixon. It just isn't working.
The idea just occurred to me that he may have tossed Nixon into it because he knows that Liberals think Nixon is the worst thing ever and they believe all the garbage about Nixon weaponizing government against his enemies.
He may have been trying to turn Liberals against the Biden Administration through his appeal to Nixon argument.
Naive in my opinion, and quite annoying to those of us who know better, but it might cause some liberals to take pause.
Cruz is not stupid, and this is the only rational explanation of which I can think for him to do this.

Every Republican president is Hitler, and so is any Republican Presidential candidate which they see as likely winning.
Ted Cruz was an infant when Watergate happened. He’s not going to be as familiar with everything that happened as those of us who were already adult political junkies.
BTW for me the definitive book on Watergate is ‘Silent Coup’. That book convinced G Gordon Liddy that John Dean plotted the entire thing without anyone else in the White House knowing about it. Liddy said “I went to prison thinking I was defending President Nixon. Instead I was protecting John Dean”.
Cruz was one of only two senators filing objections to the 2020 election.
You’ll be voting for the establishment if you’re not voting for Cruz.
