Speer's case is complicated. He was the only person in Hitler's inner circle who pleaded guilty to all of his charges at Nuremberg. Several Jewish ex-prisoners from the Mettleworks factory testified that they still lived because Speer demanded that the SS increase their rations and sleep periods. Speer convinced several NAZI generals to take a pass on Hitler's scorched earth policy within Germany.

Do you remember Lt. Speer in Band of Brothers? He became the commander of Spandau prison where Albert Speer was incarcerated. Major Speer developed a respect for Albert Speer through conversation.
