Dr Azz is more concerned about not having Chinese-made batteries for electric vehicles than he is about the Democratic nation of Taiwan.
Of all the things about EVs, the incredible marketing operation/PsyOps and the corrupt power of government to move a market, that are being dumped on the people, one thing I really don’t see is the fact that the Chinese control, what, over 80% of the raw material to make the batteries.
The Chinese make an EV that just pushed them past Tesla as the worlds #1 EV manufacturer.
Tesla and Musk have stated that they’re actually reverting back to old battery technology as the components are getting harder to come by, more expensive and the fact that the child slave labor being used to mine the metal has been exposed. Not very ESG or DEI to have a 10yr old African boy working a lithium mine and getting crushed by a bulldozer.
