They exempt from I-9 reporting?

I do not think so...L.A. County still has to follow the federal law and not hire somebody who is not a citizen or a legal resident...
I think this L.A. County Board of Supervisors decided that there is nothing wrong with hiring people, only with green card, for County jobs...
This decision does not apply to hiring peace officers...A person has to be a citizen to work for LA CO SHERIFF'S DEPT or LA CO PROBATION DEPT...That is either a State or Federal requirement...
No, Board of Supervisors did not decide that County will be hiring illegal aliens...Board just decided to make County jobs available to green card holders...
Yes, I am aware that Supervisors are pro illegal aliens...But, they do know that County cannot hire illegal aliens...Some group could sue the County if that ever happened...And win...
