Go woke and say hello to the next conscription act.
It’s about going woke. Nothing else.
Every time a statue of Lee is pulled down the Pentagon losses another 10,000 potential recruits.
You can cancel the history of the South, pull down all the CSA monuments or the military can recruit heavily from the South. But you can’t do both.
In December 1972 I was standing around with a bunch of other 2Lts on break from class. (Ft. Benjamin Harris) Four MPs approached carrying cash bags. When they got close one of us dip-shits said, “OK, Now!”. I don’t like it when they point those things in my face.
“Who has formed the backbone of the US military for 250 years? White Males.
Who disproportionally fills out the ranks of the tip of the spear combat units? White Males.
Who suffered injuries and deaths at twice their rate of the population (which gives you an idea of how White a lot of the combat units are)? White Males.
Where does the military obtain fully half of their recruits? The South.
Who do they demonize above all others? Straight Southern White Males.
Now they can’t meet their recruitment goals. Shocking!”
You should win the internet today. That is as accurate a description of the situation as you can get.
I don’t like it when they point those things in my face.
The only time I was issued ammunition (other then the range)on a military base was when I pulled guard duty on pay day guarding the pay master. They took things real serious back then.
Maybe that was you! We shunned that smart-ass from that point on.
From this retired Field Grade Army Officer: Well said!!
Who knows. I like to think I helped, but I don’t know.
I never went to that Army dining hall again, but it was apparent to me, that I got someone’s attention. I just didn’t really know what happened after that. I worked in the same building as Defense Mapping Agency, (DMAOE) because we needed their maps, but DMAOE was a military wide facility. Most of the guys were Air Force, but there were two Army officers and one Army enlisted guy working there. I actually thought they were pretty sharp guys, and they seemed to like working among us Air Force guys, but they knew we didn’t treat each other the way they treated each other. 🤗😀 We also had about 50 Army troops living on the Air Force base. They seemed to like it there too. 🤪😆
Any active duty SF?
Nope. Left for AD a second time 2 months before Q course. Eventually at my 14 year mark I had another acceptance to SF on orders but I had been dating my wife about a year and I knew I couldn’t manage marriage and SF deployments. Let’s just say I am a bit wild. No regrets. My BIL is 16 years SF. At least he warned me off the CIA before I went to State.
OK.
