This needs to be corrected by DeSantis or Geller because politically it could be used against him. Even though he did not make the claim he needs to distance himself from it. He was attached to the teams which is something to be proud of in itself.

People who provide technical and administrative support to the Teams are normally heavily vetted. SpecOp in general treat their support staff far better than other elite groups like say pilots. You are treated like part of the team. Non-operators who served with the teams can even join the UDT-SEAL Association.
