The 12th Amendment is there in black and white and still people are seeing powers never intended by the founders. The clarification is needed for those people, the ones who see things.

On January 6, 2025, will the VP have the power to reject Republican electoral votes? Suppose the Dems claim there were violations in Texas or other red states. Nevertheless, no Governor, Secretary of State, or other statewide official approves an alternate (pro-Dem) slate of electors. No legislative chamber votes to unseat any Republican electors. No court decision accepts the Dems’ claims. But Harris can reject those electoral votes anyway?
