“Trump riffed on the cost so far, misstating the amount spent.”

So Trump says $60 billion and the real number (so far) is $54 billion and Yahoo calls him out on it. Biden said 150,000,000 Americans have died by gunfire since the repeal of the Assault Weapons Ban during a televised debate and...crickets.

"So Trump says $60 billion and the real number (so far) is $54 billion and Yahoo calls him out on it. Biden said 150,000,000 Americans have died by gunfire since the repeal of the Assault Weapons Ban during a televised debate and...crickets." Yahoo itself is apparently in error, since the 54 billion was as of May 20, 2022 as the NYT article is dated

Four Ways to Understand the $54 Billion in U.S. Spending on Ukraine...The cost of the aid is not as high as some of the Democrats’ more expensive policy priorities, Some of the comparisons are tricky because Democrats shortened the time frames for many of the programs in the bill to lower costs. Six years of a universal preschool program, for example, would cost roughly twice as much as the aid packages to Ukraine.
But AP on Jul 12, 2022 reports,

US announces $1.7 billion in aid to Ukraine to pay health care workers..Ukraine is getting an additional USD 1.7 billion in assistance from the US government and the World Bank to pay the salaries of its beleaguered health care workers and provide other essential services. Last week, the Biden administration said it will send another $400 million in military equipment to Ukraine, the 15th package of military weapons and equipment transferred to Ukraine from Defense Department stocks since last August. This new set of funds will be used for humanitarian purposes. ...Overall, the US has sent about USD 7.3 billion in aid to Ukraine since the war began in late February.
Thus, not only does Yahoo contradict Trump but also the AP.

Largely, and if the GOP had the WH then the headlines would be how it failed to deal with Covid and how vaccination was a failure. Yet Snopes actually did FC the 150,000,000 Americans figure, and affirms,

"Biden shared a statistic that would have meant roughly half of the American population had been killed since 2007 by guns. Biden did indeed make the comment....here are roughly 330 million Americans, according to U.S. Census figures. Biden’s campaign acknowledged that he had misspoke. The New York Times reported that more than 33,000 people die in firearm-related deaths in the U.S. every year, "
