Sorry, your mistake is thinking that they give a sh*t about the Constitution.

So far, the system has held, with certain exceptions (J6 tricks and shenanigans being one of them). But broad swaths of action have been limited by the courts, especially the SCOTUS. I suppose they (Obama and Rice) could whip out their MP5's and armored personnel carriers and just go ahead and do what they want, but I think that would alarm even the hardcore left.

And then it would be ON.

Deep State, you think Afganistan and Iraq were tough? Wait until all of America takes you on.

Until it can't, due to deterioration of civil discourse. That's the corner they're pushing us all into. Technically a breakup, "secession" has already occurred. There are currently two diametrically opposed systems of governance in function here, various jurisdictions that still observe and uphold the Constitution and the Rule of Law, and those that don't, which includes the Federal government. The two cannot coexist, there will come a serious clash, where one or more of the Constitutional jurisdictions/territories will go "F you, we're not doing this", then it's on like Donkey Kong. Avoidable, but they want what they want.
