They closed a fantastically busy location in San Francisco’s Union Square a few years ago. It was so busy there it was like the door never shut. But they closed it.
Very good analysis. I think you nailed it down very well.
They allowed their emotions to dictate how to deal with the situation.
Yep they are closing locations that might want to unionize.
Not that I can’t really blame them. If I were upper management I would do the same thing.
I remember 50 years ago I loved starbucks cause they had a free gumball machines.
” Hollywood & Vine, Hollywood, California”
I know nothing about LA, but that is one of the most famous intersections in the world.
falling starbucks...
The train station in Denver, Colorado is overrun. Avoid.
The Wilmington, DE Starbucks in the VA also closed.
“It’s also a list of areas to avoid.”
Yep. Two of the Los Angeles locations (1st & Los Angeles St. and 2nd & San Pedro St.) are just a block from the borders of Skid Row. Lots and lots of indigents, mentally ill and addicts prowling around like the walking dead. Very disturbing and dystopian.
Santa Monica & Westmount, West Hollywood, California
ANTI GAY!
Yep. Trump is causing this whole disaster with his magic wand.
I guess CEO Schultz isn’t running for President....
Oh, yes they did. I think it was near Ghirradeli Square.
If any of these locations are in minority neighborhoods they should be accused of RACISM.
Read between the lines here. Obviously, certain POC can’t behave like civilized human beings even long enough to buy a cup of coffee.
I wonder if Starbucks liked it better when they had Patriots open carrying AR-15s in their stores?
There was certainly much less crime when the Patriots were around.
There is a Bowserville in the grassy area around the Columbus statue in front of Union Station. The panhandlers like it because there is a high volume of metrorail commuters and train passengers, so it’s a target rich environment for them. The mayor’s refusal to order effective policing at Union Station is a long running issue.
In 2001, I was contracting at DoD in Washington DC and stopped at Starbucks on my in one morning...
I ordered a large coffee....
The little guy at the counter said “Grande?”
I said “Yeah...Large...”
He then asked “What flavor?”
I said “Regular...”
He just stared and asked “What do you want in it?”
I said “Coffee...”
He asked “You, you just want PLAIN coffee?”
I said “Yeah...”
He then just shook his head and said “Some people....”
That was my last Starbucks experience...
or could it be the customers want FREE COFFEE ,LOL
Does Checkers sell coffee?
Maybe Starbucks could relocate the Philly store in the Independence Visitor Center.
