As a vendor from Singapore in a former life pointed out to me, the city-state hangs fewer drug traffickers in one year than a similar sized city in the United States loses to drug related crime and overdose deaths in a single week.

The number one criminal drug dealer, extortionist, killing and thieving criminal is the US government.
Marijuana is legalized and the biggest pay off is the government.
They see something people want or need, there they are with their hands out.
And if you resist they have an army of cops ready to take you to the playground.
And you aren’t even allowed to escape them
I’ll take the drug dealers, to be frank.

Countries that impose harsh measures against drugs and human trafficking don’t have nearly as much of it as we do. However, we have one political party that openly supports criminals and another party that just goes along to get along most of the time.

I'm inclined to agree, yet I agree with Peter Hitchens who has stressed that those funding the drug dealers (yep, USERS) are even more culpable than the dealers themselves.

But it should not be. The drug thugs, especially the cartels, very successfully specialize in the death penalty - murder - to maintain control and discipline. They understand the impact of the death penalty. But American politicians prefer the destruction of hundreds of thousands of Americans rather than the destruction of the drug dealers.
