Excellent news. Reminds me to check Pennsylvania’s registration numbers.
Then why does KY have the same two republican senators who have been re-elected for decades?
Confused...
“Democrat’s voter registration plan”??? Did Democrats come up with a voter registration plan they liked? What’s wrong with it? Hard to believe I thought Democrats were completely against voter id.
What makes this excellent news?
Okay, good news then. It will be excellent when Republicans outnumber Democrats in KY.
A poorly worded headline, for sure! I thought the Republicans were going to pass legislation advocated by the Democrats.
I thought the same thing.
If they had used “registrations” instead of “registration”, then the headline would have made more sense.
Then why does KY have the same two republican senators who have been re-elected for decades?

Because they are almost democrats/communist
very confusing headline!
What it means is that more people are registering as Republicans than communist, ehr, democrats
The famous answer I get is… well they are better than the dems, lesser of two evils. That gives the gope power unrestrained to continue the rino march to destro America. Just like the people who ignore joe manchins heinous anti 2 A law that he co-authored while Obama was in power.
“Then why does KY have the same two republican senators who have been re-elected for decades?”
Because, particularly in the Old Confederacy and border states like Kentucky, voter registration is very often a LAGGING indicator and not necessarily a leading indicator.
Kentucky, like most of the South, started accelerating to the right at the ballot box during the Gingrich Revolution but it has taken years, even decades, for party registration to catch up.
Most southern states don’t even have party registration, but ones which do (Louisiana and Oklahoma for example) have been showing the same thing as Kentucky for years: they were voting for Republicans — first nationally, then statewide, then locally — even when voter registration was still overwhelmingly Democrat.
So it’s not really a case of “ZOMG!!1! Kentucky is going RED!”; it’s much more a case of Kentucky was ALREADY quite “red” and has been for a long time (”red”, for those who insist on using the media-mandated coloration).
Title is awkward. It seemed to read that a bill on voter registration sponsored by Democrats is about to be passed with Republican help.
I don’t understand what this is talking about.
Ha - I misread the title as more RINO shenanigans!
The numbers looked like a referendum in which the Democrats were winning Democrat-style voting rules.
Rand Paul is almost a Democrat/Communist? Really? Mitch is but not Rand Paul...
I wouldn’t consider Rand Paul an almost Dem or communist. Now, McConnell, he’s great on judges but otherwise...
and our voters are alive. Unlike the Dems
