I got electric ignition of gunpowder to work, @50 years ago. I used small light bulbs and DC batteries to explode charges of gunpowder underwater. The filaments, without the glass, would flare, and fairly reliably ignite the gunpowder.
I bet model rocket igniters would work.
Bet you could use the motors as well...
