For trauma patients, there’s a 39% lower death rate for HEMS vs ambulance transportation, according to one study:
I could not see the article but I was talking about pulseless patients transported by air. It’s kind of hard doing CPR in a medivac helicopter. The rates may be higher than 1% but not that much higher.
I will have to look up the study but Kelly Grayson posted about it several years ago.
