When did this "person of interest" make it into the lexicon as an euphemism for "suspect"? That's so lame.

When I think of "person of interest", I'm thinking it's a nice looking woman that lives in your neighborhood.

Person of interest: The term was first used at least as early as 1996 to describe
Richard A. Jewell, a suspect in the Atlanta Olympic bombings.
