These particular citizens/residents of HP were far from typical. I know, I grew up there and went to High School there. These parents were (especially the mother ) a bit odd, even though the father ran a rather a modest sandwich shop in town.Highland Park High was one of the most highly rated High Schools in the country.Maybe still is. As far as I know, HP is still populated mostly by upper middle class professional parents and their children. when I was there disproportionately Jewish also.
