Rep. Liz Cheney publicly nudged the Justice Department on Sunday to move against Donald Trump, warning that not holding the former president accountable for January 6 is a 'graver Constitutional threat' to American democracy than letting him off the hook.
Cheney - one of two Republicans on the Democrat-led Capitol riot committee - also shared a warning for her own party, which has largely ostracized her for her role on the panel.
'I think that that he can't be the party nominee' in the 2024 presidential race, the Wyoming lawmaker told ABC News of Trump. 'I don't think the party would survive that.'

So if this is true, “warns the Republican Party ‘can’t survive’ if ex-president is the GOP 2024 nominee”, wouldn’t she just keep her mouth shut?

The Democrats want to indict President Trump only to prevent him from running in 2024. If he was tried and convicted that would be a bonus but their main goal is to keep the President from running.

With the Vichy-Republicans & GOPe-Republicans for the most part being stridently Anti Trump and Anti MAGA.
To me the question is: Will you vote in November for a Vichy Republican or a GOPe-Republican or a MAGA Republican, if your candidate loses in the Primary?

Or they will try to bring charges. Look at the impeachments. He won’t be convicted. If that happened the whole game would change. There is no smoking gun. I could see them try him. But look what it would bring out in discovery. Can they keep the video of inside and outside the Capitol out of court. Will it be lost like the election results from the dominion machines. Most people know it’s a sham. It’s all going to backfire in them. But really I think it’s about doing as much damage as possible and running away while changing laws so the dems can’t be investigated the same way they are doing Trump.
