The Jewish faith holds the right to an abortion to be inviolable.

Nonsense.

"In Judaism, views on abortion draw primarily upon the legal and ethical teachings of the Hebrew Bible, the Talmud, the case-by-case decisions of responsa, and other rabbinic literature. While all major Jewish religious movements allow (or even encourage) abortion in order to save the life or health of a pregnant woman, authorities differ on when and whether it is permitted in other cases."

Is abortion a matter of Faith among liberal Jewish New Yorkers with winter homes in Palm Beach? Probably.

Which is why the premise is ridiculous,. There is no "Judaism" which according to this rabbi finds abortion protected. There are "judaisms" with differing views and arguments about the matter. "Two Jews ... three opinions." This case will have to show that this liberal rabbi represents the views of all Judaism. Not going to happen.

I think the rabbi has found a way to pimp for an increase in attendees by demonstrating his liberal credibility.

There is a wide spectrum of beliefs about abortion in that community. It is not as clear cut as the orthodox (small “o”) Christian teachings.
