It's why the Democrats hate him so much. When he does things to make himself and the GOP look more "moderate", and therefore more appealing to swing voters, the left screams that it's all a trick, and that he'll reveal his true evil genius nature when a critical issue is at stake.
And "evil" aside, they're right. He's an absolute master at maximizing power in the Senate.
The one thing I would like to know is what would have happened if Trump pardoned Assange. How many Republicans would have really voted to convict Trump?
