SpaceX has fired some of the employees behind a letter criticizing CEO Elon Musk's 'embarrassing' and 'distracting' tweets yesterday, claiming some workers were pressured into signing it.
The letter was posted to the company’s internal communications system Wednesday, hours after Musk revealed publicly that he had voted for a Republican candidate for the first time by voting for Mayra Flores in South Texas.
In the letter, the unnamed workers gave the company's directors 'one month' to 'swiftly and explicitly separate' from 'Elon's personal brand'.
They demanded that the company become more 'inclusive', and said its 'zero asshole' policy was not enforced clearly.

MANY companies require a GOOD referral.
NONE will be forthcoming for these signers.
The lingering effect of 20+++ years of PARTICIPATION TROPHIES...AGAIN.
TRUMP should dismantle NASA because Billions in taxpayer money did NOT produce what ELON had done.
Looks like now that these firings have happened, the Policy is much closer to being enforced!
Just read most of the thread. Looks like I wasn’t the only one making this keen observation!
GMTA...
Maybe Musk is what our space program needs.
Fire woke employees like he just did at SpaceX.
I’ve seen this happen personally. Fortunately, it was played really smart and without drama, and because the person wasn’t able to get another person fired, the troublemaker left.
I believe he may have fixed TWO problems... his current SpaceX ‘problem,’ AND, his Tesla 40-hour work-in-the-office ‘problem’ from a week or so ago. Think they got the memo???
> I’m looking, too. I’ll have to see if SpaceX allows telework.
I don’t see any remote positions, but who knows? I perused SpaceX job openings this morning after watching the launch. Lots of engineering positions open. I interviewed almost a decade ago for a position in Hawthorne, was totally willing to take a pay cut for the opportunity. Sadly didn’t make it to the second round.
At this point I’m tempted to do a booster startup instead. I have an idea for a recoverable hybrid with dense storable non-toxic propellant/oxidizer, a fast reaction rate, throttle-able to 80%, and ISP above 250...
haha! “wait! that’s my car!”
HA! I couldn’t hardly believe it when my brother said Musk had sent this car to space.....
Tesla and Spacex are separate and not affiliated with each other, except starship might use tesla batteries packs for internal stuff
I looked at opportunities and saw a couple of slots I might have a borderline chance at and it would have to be telework. Am tied to where I am for many reasons, most good.
These might have been some of those that wanted to continue to work at home, Elon told them to go pretend to work someplace else.
Even if that were the case - and from what I’ve seen they were reacting to his comment about voting Republican for the first time for Mayra Flores - a demand that they work from home is consistent with the entitled behavior of that generation. But, again, the stories I’ve seen stated it was the public announcement of the Flores vote.
Over 12,000.
And lose.
Blax, fags, blak fags are a formidable adversary in a liberal courtroom.
So is Musk.
And Musk has vastly more money.
Big difference is, the editor at the New York Times did not found the New York Times or own it.
Musk founded SpaceX and owns close to half of it.
Big difference.
“...said its ‘zero asshole’ policy was not enforced clearly.”
Seems to me that it’s pretty clearly enforced... Fewer @$$holes there now than there were Wednesday morning.
