A good chunk (1,000 votes) just came in from Cameron County. A good showing for Flores, but still 8,000 left to count in Cameron County.

Cameron County is not "The South". What you are seeing in not the result of the abandonment of the Jim Crow Democrat Party. This is a new phenomenon. Cameron County is the Borderlands. You're seeing the beginning of the shift of Hispanic voters away from the Democrat Party likely caused by the failure of Democrat's immigration policy that impacts RGV counties more than anywhere else in Texas.
