That weather in Alabama sounds like Louisiana, and if your mowing equipment operates on ethanol-free gas, then you have to pay more. For some reason, gas with ethanol is cheaper.
Not if you use it in lawn equipment or outboard motors... The damage it does to such engines is far more expensive in the long run! BTW, AvGas for piston aircraft does not contain ethanol either due to a number of issues. You "Can", however, use ethanol laced gas in a limited number of lower powered aircraft with the "Blessing" of a special certification recognized by the FAA.
Only at the pump. Tax dollars bought down the price before it got there.
