If the Carolina fans don’t boo that freak off the field, then there’s something wrong with them. A couple years ago, my niece’s (girls) soccer team played a team that featured a boy player (a junior Lia Thomas). A few parents on my niece’s team were heckling the kid (e.g., “Play on the boys team, you creep” etc.). I didn’t join in, but to some extent I think they were doing the right thing and ultimately doing the boy a favor. To play along with whatever madness and dysfunction caused him to be out there playing on the girls team isn’t doing him any favors in the long run. With a grown man pulling this crap, the response seems even more obvious. If the fans put up with this garbage, they’ll get even more of it.
The right thing to do would have been to walk right on that field, hopefully in the middle of a play, and yank your daughter off the field, all the while shouting, we don’t accept a boy on the girl’s team.
When my daughter was in soccer in the 8th grade, one of the girls, in the middle of the play, hauled off and cold cocked one of the players from the other team. I ran on that field to stop the mayhem and everyone was shouting that the refs would handle it. My response was that this was assault and battery and we are no longer on a “soccer” field. This is not about “rules”. It’s about the law.
I agree. I wouldn’t have joined in either 5 yrs ago. But now I would.
We have made an exceptionally grave error by tolerating this stuff. The left laughs at us. They have cut our throats with it.
Look at them, they wouldn’t (and don’t) tolerate us questioning them for one second.
