This woman sued the WaPo for discrimination. It just got thrown out in late March. My bet is they have been gathering the documentation to fire her since she first filed her suit. I would also bet she was *trying* to get fired so she could sue again, and file an EEOC complaint.
Anyway the premise that this started when a guy “retweeted a sexist post about bisexual women” is wrong. He was making a joke about women, not bisexual women.
If he sent that via internal email, most companies would discipline him. But is making a joke in public (twitter) a firing offense? Or, does it create a hostile work environment? Of course not.
I read a blind item that she insinuated that she WAS trying to get fired so she could sue again.
I agree that she was trying to get fired so she could sue again.
