Used to be called a highball. John Belushi died from one. Its like drinking way, way to much coffee to stay awake and then knocking off the unwanted edgyness with a shot or two.

Didn’t see your post before I poseted- yep highball- the two work by giving two completely different highs, or a high and low at the same time. One gets really amped up about being mellow lol.
I dimly recall those speedballs from back in the 80s. My memory is that they were a discrete product in itself. The way I’ve heard it reported with laced meth or cocaine is that supposedly the buyer doesn’t know it’s laced with opioids.
