Britain pledged Thursday to send sophisticated medium-range rocket systems to Ukraine, joining the United States and Germany in equipping the embattled nation with advanced weapons for shooting down aircraft and knocking out artillery.
Western arms have been critical to Ukraine’s success in stymieing Russia’s much larger and better-equipped military during a war now in its 99th day. But as Russian forces closed in on a key city in recent days, the Ukrainian government said its fighters needed better rocket launchers to prevail.
A Kremlin spokesman again warned of “absolutely undesirable and rather unpleasant scenarios” if the latest Western-supplied weapons were fired into Russia.
“This pumping of Ukraine with weapons … will bring more suffering to Ukraine, which is merely a tool in the hands of those countries that supply it with weapons,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Yes, the deliberate misinformation about the Russian troops has been rampant in this conflict. Repeated constantly here on Free Republic, too, by the gullible.
In fact, the alternative media (Telegram and many others) have posted numerous videos and articles demonstrating great humanity from some of the Russian soldiers. Last week a video of Russians carrying an injured Ukrainian soldier many kilometers through the forest to get him to a field hospital.

I have seen at least a dozen pictures/videos of Russian troops burying dead Ukrainians who had been left by their comrades; some pictures even showing wooden crosses made out of broken tree branches on the graves. That surprised me then I remembered that a lot of Russians are Orthodox Christians.
And there are dozens of videos of Ukrainian POWs saying they have been well treated.
Conversely, I have also seen videos by a French medic who went to Ukraine to help the Ukrainians and was stunned to watch how evil their troops were (Azovs.) They were taking handcuffed Russians (POWs) and asking them if they were officers. If they said no they were shot in the leg. If they said yes they were shot in the head.
The French medic bravely went to the French government with his info; but of course their media and the government buried the story. The deceptive narrative must be maintained in order to maintain support for the Ukrainians.

I can’t think of anything to shoot with artillery at the Texas border, but even if there were then the US has sent 94 artillery pieces to Ukraine and still has 4-5 thousand left.
