If they raise the voting age to 25, maybe, but it would unconstitutional as the 2nd Amendment protects 18+ to properly arm up to fight the federal government in the event it goes near full totalitarian.
THAT is just TOO IMPORTANT to trim any of it back due to these awful murders due to cowardly cops and boys with no fathers.

My mother lived in fear of my brother getting drafted and sent off to Vietnam with a rifle capable of fully automatic operation.
It was felt in the era that if 18-year olds were expected to fight LBJ’s war (with a fully automatic capable gun) that they ought to have the right to vote.

It is my understanding that the AR-15 type guns use modest cost ammo to shoot a small bullet at high speed, making the guns and their ammo very desirable for both target shooting and hunting.
Many young people are not willing to pay a dollar a shot for say 30-06 ammo.
