How Putin managed to derussify East Ukraine in just 8 years (Reminder)

Since he started consolidating his rule in 1999, Putin has been always manufacturing conflicts artificially. Chechnya, Georgia, Syria. Each time he claimed he needs to defend "security" of Russia, which was difficult to object to. Everyone agrees Russia has the right to be secure

The conflict in Ukraine is also artificial, manufactured. It started with the "little green men" taking over Crimea in 2014. It continued with FSB colonel crossing the border to launch the Russian insurgency. It continued with Russia funding and arming irredentists in Ukraine.

It culminated with Russia launching the war of conquest in 2022. It's delusionary to view Putin as a neutral side here. It's also delusionary to describe him as "a side of the conflict". He is not *a* side. He's *the* one who manufactured this conflict in the first place.

This conflict manufacturing strategy backfired on Putin. Russians are shocked by resistance they are now facing in the Russophone East Ukraine. Russians believed it would just switch to them immediately. After all, it voted for pro-Russian candidates on every election till 2014.

What happened? How Kharkiv which used to be culturally and politically pro-Russian so quickly turned super anti-Russian? It's a huge cultural change and a very recent one. And the answer would be: Putin's conflict manufacturing strategy killed pro-Russian sentiments in Ukraine.

RTWT.

You’re forgetting that Zelenski is a powerless puppet.

On the contrary, Zelenskyy has masterfully brought the world kicking and screaming to support Ukraine, despite the usual impulse by European leaders and Democrats to surrender.

Current support for Ukraine by these leaders is because populations across the world support Ukraine in massive numbers. In USA, that number is around 70-80%.

On FR it is like 60% because the 40% of Putinists, despite being vile creatures, have not been banned. They do not represent the majority of conservatives. They represent only a fringe minority.

To sum it up, like Sinatra, this is Zelenskyy's world, and we're all just living in it.

Do you ever see him on tv when he isn’t surrounded by Azov Nazi goons? The CIA, MI6 and Ihor Kolomoiski created him out of whole cloth through the “Servant of the People” franchise

This is nothing but paranoid, crackpot nonsense.

“Stopped reading right there. It all started with the US sponsored Euromaiden Coup.”

Hell, I stopped when this clown claimed that Putin ‘manufactured’ the Syrian Civil War, when his only involvement there was to (mostly) end it.

Zelensky’s political party “Servant of the People” is actually named after his oligarch-financed TV show and his ascension from regional nobody actor to billionaire puppet king following the 2014 Euromaidan coup d’état follows the show’s script in large part. Yes, people are that stupid. They fell for a TV show with a telegenic drug addict and were willing to risk WW3 rather than admit that the press didn’t suddenly, spontaneously, start reporting the truth after two years of Covid lies, Afghanistan lies and Election lies.

If CCP sponsored the over throw of the Canadian govt what would our response be?

And if the WEF sponsored the subversion of the Canadian govt what would our response be?

Because they already have.
