Agreed, my remark was aimed at the Uvalde police, not Texans per se.

Friends and I of a satiric bent have making up parodies since high school, such as Men of Harlech, while watching the movie Zulu:

Men of Harlem,
stop your stealing,
we can see your white teeth gleaming... etc.

or of Gilbert & Sullivan:

I am the very model
of a modern urban criminal,
with convictions civil,
juvenile and criminal...

LOL   You are a little weird, but I did read years ago that the "The Whiffenpoof Song" from the Yale University choir of that name was an Ivy League snobbish elitist putdown of enlisted gentlemen-rankers lauded and written of by Rudyard Kipling.
In the British Army, a gentleman ranker is an enlisted soldier suited through education and social background to be a commissioned officer, or indeed a former commissioned officer.
Kelly of "Kelly's Heroes" fame would be a gentleman ranker.

Your efforts are in good company going way back.

Gentlemen-Rankers
