The excuses offered by police in Uvalde to excuse their cowardice only confirm their cowardice.
Nineteen armed police stood in an elementary school hallway and did nothing for more than an hour while an armed teenager murdered 19 children pleading for help and the two teachers who perished trying to protect them.

All Hat No Cattle
All Hat All Donuts
The PRIMARY REASON we have school district police is for this kind of event.
If after 19 police officers stood "staged",
and heard additional gunshots while staged
then they are complicit.
The reason we have school district police is so that pansies that had their underwear run up the flagpole can feel tough.
I could have imagined a scenario where the parents went and got THIER firearms and tried to go in to save the kids and the police open fire on them and kill them.
“They” sure ain’t.
Yes, outrage is warranted.
But then this screed turns into an Acab diatribe about killing blacks ( were any blacks killed in Uvalde? No, didn’t think so). Then continues on about how Republicans are the real bad guys.
Not a word about the scum that actually did this.
Near the end of the article the writer just had to drag race into it. But I suppose that’s a liberal requirement this days. Nevertheless, his main points are quite valid. All hat, no courage.
(Nineteen armed police stood in an elementary school hallway and did nothing for more than an hour while an armed teenager murdered 19 children pleading for help and the two teachers who perished trying to protect them.)
Well, those donuts 🍩🍩🍩 aren’t going to eat themselves.
A black guy was robbing gas stations at gun point in my area.
Since I’m white, I got pulled over, twice....during his crime spree. Priorities, you know. 🙄
My crime? A plastic license plate cover. Helps slow down sticker thieves.
Two verbal warnings. So I took it off.
Meanwhile the perp committed a total of 9 robberies including a guy I know .... TWICE.
Second time he robbed the guy I know, cops got there on time.
I actually talked to the guy who chased him.
Speeds exceeding 130 mph.
Guy who caught him wasn’t doing silly stuff wasting time with license plate covers.
This whole incident would have fit well in Atlas Shrugged, as an anecdote exemplifying a broader societal collapse.
Except it would have been unbelievable in a work of fiction.
This says it all.No it doesn't.
Where were all those big mouth gun toting, chest pounding "don't mess with Texas" Texans when children needed them?...Whining about police protection.
Did someone say something about all hat?
Meanwhile, one woman (not a chest pounding, pretend bad ass Texan) stopped a bad thing with only a handgun in North Carolina(?)
THAT sez it all!
The Yellow Streak of Texas....
It doesn’t matter how much training the cops have, if they are unwilling to go up against a shooter.
“This says it all.”
Actually, it says more than “all.” Not until I clicked on the msn.com link and got to the article did I see that it was an opinion piece from Al Jazeera. Even so, I did not disagree with the description of the police as cowards willing to let children die in order to protect themselves from being shot or even shot-at. But, when I reached the paragraphs in the middle of the article that accused police across the country of indiscriminately killing unarmed Black people (even though the statistics don’t support this assertion), it became clear that the real purpose of the article was to further divide us and turn this slaughter into a matter of racial justice. In the future, I hope FR will identify the real source of the articles to which it links.
It certainly does and every one of these despicable cowards should quit the force in shame and leave law enforcement forever. If you are too much of a pussy to do your job, you need to find another line of work.
The people I know that became cops were bullies in high school. Maybe it’s different for “school district police”.
Don’t Mess With Texas? I don’t think so
