Cost/ challenges to transport manufactured rounds the largest problem, at close to 150 lbs each per 155mm projectile( ever see the pallets they are shipped in/ on?)….and they are separate loaded rounds, case less, bagged. Projectiles on huge pallets, propellant bags in separate containers ( tanks), fuzes separated by type ( MTSQ, PD, etc.) a logistical nightmare.
