The main question now is whether the retreat will become a rout.

One major factor in Ukraine's demise that the press will never uncover is the country's chronic fuel shortages. In mid-April, the Ukrainian government foolishly implemented price controls on fuel which, of course, led to widespread shortages. It's tough fighting for national survival when you can't fuel your tanks and trucks. And even now, Zelenski and his economic advisors are too stupid to put two and two together and they blame their fuel shortages on "logistical problems." Zelensky would have eventually nationalized the country's fuel industry (which would have made shortages worse), but he has more pressing matters at hand, like staying alive.
