The father of the 18-year-old gunman who killed 21 people at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, this week wants the world to know he is sorry. In an interview with The Daily Beast on Thursday, Salvador Ramos said, “I just want the people to know I’m sorry man, [for] what my son did.”
“I never expected my son to do something like that,” Ramos, 42, added. “He should’ve just killed me, you know, instead of doing something like that to someone.”
He said he did notice one change in his son in recent months: a pair of boxing gloves he’d purchased and started testing out at a local park. “I said, ‘Mijo, one day somebody’s going to kick your ass,’” Ramos recalled. “I started seeing different changes in him like that.”
“They killed my baby man,” he said. He added: “I’m never gonna see my son again, just like they’re not gonna see their kids. And that hurts me.”
He said his son had a girlfriend in San Antonio, whom he and his family had been to visit, but he did not comment further on the teenager’s social life, which classmates said had rapidly been declining. He added that he was speaking out because “I want my son’s story out there.” “I don’t want them calling him a monster... they don’t know nothing, man,” he said. “They don’t know anything he was going through.”

I noticed that the killer’s MOM had at least 2 different last names!
I know he had his reasons?
No. Just hell No.
Hitler had his reasons too.
yep
my parents tried to turn me into a screaming leftard and it backfired
bigly
exactly
some things cannot be justified
my father grew up dirt poor with no father in the house and a mother who would go from rental house to rental house and pack up and leave just before the rent was due....he turned out to be a fine man, a good husband and wonderful dad....
but a point needs to be made that living a chaotic life is horrible for children....
and people should have been a bit more aware of what the creep was up to.....
I would still like to know whose money he used to purchase the AR.
It sure as hell wasn’t his…
Wasted people raise more wasted people.
The son was a monster. The father is a failure. The mother is an addict.
Thank God someone killed him before he had a chance to procreate and is not a burden on the system any longer.
It is a tragedy someone didn’t kill him sooner.
There’s no way he afforded a DD and an EOTech without stealing or selling drugs.
You could be right.
