The first thing I thought of when that pathetic pea brain mentioned limits on the 2A was yes, people could own cannons back then. Individuals could own their own warship.

The market has a way of working out those sorts of things. If you want to own a battleship, it’s completely possible for the low low price of five billion dollars.

The price of autos would come down precipitously if the 68 GCA was repealed, because people who could afford the price tag would pay up; and eventually, through economy of scale, you’d see a lot of them in private hands and prices would come down. I don’t see a downside to this.
